To support the County’s Climate Action Plan goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from County operations and our employees’ commutes, the County of Marin is now offering discounted electric vehicle (EV) charging rates for employees at all County-owned charging stations.

General Public Rate - $1/hour.

Employee Rate - $0.50/hour.

Discounted EV Charging Rules

To support the County’s Climate Action Plan goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from County operations and our employees’ commutes, the County of Marin is now offering discounted electric vehicle (EV) charging rates for employees at all County-owned charging stations.

  1. Only County employees may use the discounted charging rate.
  2. The employee must have an account with ChargePoint.
  3. Employee must provide either their County email address or their employee ID that matches the name on the ChargePoint account.
  4. Employee must obey all parking limits and restrictions posted at the EV charging spot.
  5. If the employee no longer works for the County, they must notify RideGreen and access to the discounted rate will be discontinued.
  6. Discounted rate is only available at County-owned EV charging stations.

Drive Clean Bay Area (DCBA) is a collaboration of nonprofit organizations, agencies, cities, schools, and businesses with a goal of greatly reducing carbon emissions by advancing the adoption of electric vehicles. Through scaled community engagement programs, DCBA inspires people to replace internal combustion vehicles with electric vehicles, e-bikes, and other forms of zero-carbon transportation.
